Sourcing
IKO manufactures several components used in the production of our final products, giving us greater control over manufacturing practices and product quality, and transportation of raw and finished goods. This includes granule production, packaging, asphalt oxidation, and glass mat and fibre manufacture.
All IKO Suppliers are expected to adhere to practices that respect both people and the environment. From international compliance to adhering to a supplier Code of Conduct, we take our responsibility to provide healthy, safe, and decent working conditions seriously.
Operations
IKO is dedicated to manufacturing practices that optimise efficiency, reducing raw material requirements and waste generation. Our plants include energy efficient automated LED warehouse lighting and process controls, as well as onsite solar power generation while closed-loop water use within manufacturing reduces water waste and wastewater discharge. As part of our environmental management system, each plant has programs in place for recycling and reusing materials where possible. And to close the loop, we work with waste management partners to divert waste from landfill.

By staying ahead of the curve, IKO is shaping the future of roofing, delivering systems that are built for today, and for what lies ahead. Developments in product design have allowed for greater building energy efficiency and installation.
